Orshot gives Bubble builders a “Canva-like API” they’ve been missing, so you can generate on-brand images and documents dynamically from your app without sending users to a separate design tool. You design once in Orshot’s editor or start from their high‑quality templates, then parameterise elements (text, images, colours, booleans) to fill them at runtime via REST. Practical example: award a shareable milestone badge when a user completes onboarding—send the user’s first name, avatar URL, and achievement level, and instantly get back a polished PNG to display, save, and let them share on social. Another: generate tweet-style promo cards for your marketplace listings by swapping in product title, price, seller photo, and background colour to produce marketing assets on the fly.

It also fits Bubble’s workflows cleanly. With the API Connector, you POST to Orshot’s render endpoint, authenticate with a Bearer key, and pass a JSON body containing your templateId and parameters. You can choose output format and transport—PNG/JPEG for social, PDF for invoices or certificates, and either Base64 or a hosted URL. Example: create branded PDFs like receipts, event tickets, or course completion certificates—Bubble triggers a backend workflow after payment, sends customer name, order items, and totals to Orshot, receives a PDF URL, stores it in the database, and emails it to the user. Because parameters are simple fields, Bubble’s “format as JSON-safe” prevents malformed requests when users enter special characters.

Finally, Orshot speeds up shipping and iteration. The editor is familiar if you’ve used Canva, and the API playground mirrors exactly what you paste into Bubble, so you can test variations (e.g., toggle elements with booleans, swap layouts, adjust text styles) and copy the working JSON. Example: run a UGC referral campaign where each referrer gets a unique poster—your workflow fills in their name, referral code, and profile photo, optionally hides/show badges with booleans, and returns multiple sizes for Instagram, X, and Stories. Another: enrich user profiles by letting them pick a background theme; your app saves their preference and renders a new cover image nightly.
